Jill Riethmayer About Jill Riethmayer

Jill received her Masters in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University. She began her counseling career as a middle school counselor serving 1,000 fifth graders. Quickly, Jill realized that most of her work would be in small groups, and that she needed "ready-to-go" materials. Finding that none existed, Jill began to develop materials to meet her own needs. She wanted guides that would contain counselor notes, worksheets, and informational handouts. She wanted to be able to lead a group, work with an individual, or go into a classroom having resources "ready to go" to meet a variety of needs. Once other counselors saw Jill's resources, they wanted to be able to purchase them.

Since that first counseling guide, Jill has written 13 books, 4 sets of Story Telling Cards as well as created a counseling tool, The Grief Abacus. Her materials are used extensively throughout Texas and the United States. Jill is a frequent and popular speaker at conferences on a state, national, and international level. Consistently, her workshops receive some of the highest evaluations of the overall conference. Jill is sought out as an expert in the counseling field by individual counselors, counseling associations, school districts, colleges, and universities.
